You won’t be behind a desk all day. Instead, you’ll be meeting with producers, collaborating with our grain team, and seeing the full grain supply chain in action from farm to market.
Whether your goal is to work in grain origination, commodity trading, or simply to dip your toe into the Cooperative system, this internship is designed to build your skills.
We expect 10-12 weeks of employment with start & end dates flexible to your school schedule. We will work with your school activities during the summer.
Key Responsibilities
Grain Origination & Merchandising
· Conduct on-farm visits with sales and grain team members to build strong producer relationships
· Identify grain buying opportunities through calls and conversations with farmers
· Assist producers in developing tailored marketing plans using real-time market insights
· Analyze bid sheets and identify pricing and arbitrage opportunities
· Manage and update unsigned/undelivered grain contract confirmations
· Support sales of grain contracts based on current market conditions
· Complete farm visit reports and track key customer insights
Operations Support
· Assist the operations team with grain handling and facility processes
· Learn mix and blend procedures that impact quality and margins
· Understand grading procedures and apply grading tables
Safety & Compliance
· Follow and promote OSHA safety protocols
· Support a safe and efficient work environment at all times
Team & Communication
· Collaborate with your manager regularly to review goals and producer activity
· Communicate with the accounting team on contracting and logistics details
· Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure grain is moved and handled efficiently
What We’re Looking For

· Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt
· Pursuing a degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Ag Studies, or a related field (preferred)
