River Country Coop has an opening for an administrative accounting position at its Owen, WI office location. This position is in a professional office setting working in a fast-paced environment preforming various accounting functions that are essential to the preparation of accurate financial statements. This position will also involve working directly with the co-op patrons.

Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review the daily paperwork of the co-op’s agricultural departments and convenience stores and make adjustments and corrections as needed
• Handle customer payments and prepare deposits
• Perform routine balancing, filing, and calculating
• Setting up new customer accounts
• Accounts Payable Entry
• Handle customer phone calls; assist with account questions, and direct patrons to appropriate personnel. Provide excellent customer service
• Perform other office duties as assigned

Preferred candidates will have accounting experience and or an accounting degree but we will train a candidate with great aptitude skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must also have computer experience and aptitude to learn new programs and work extended hours as needed.
