BUDGET PLAN POLICY

Begins in June of Each Year

  1. The Budget Plan covers only fuel and LP gas for home heating.
  2. The Budget Plan last for 12 months and starts in June of every year.
  3. Payments are determined by the previous year’s usage. Those gallons are multiple by the current winter estimated price per gallon and then divided by 12.
  4. Customers are required to have a summer fill before starting on the budget plan.
  5. Payments need to be made by the 20th of each month.
  6. In the case of an exceptionally cold winter, payment amounts will be reviewed by the Credit Manager to determine if monthly payments should be increased. Patrons will then be notified of any changes by mail. Patrons should continue to use their existing budget payment coupons, however change the amount according to the letter they receive from the Credit Manager.
  7. Patrons will not receive interest on credit balances.
  8. Patrons on the Budget Plan will not be charged finance charge on the past due balances as long as the monthly payments are made as agreed.
  9. It is recommended that patrons on the Budget Plan be put on a scheduled delivery basis.
  10. Fuel deliveries will be billed at the current cash price per gallon unless the patron fails to make payments on time or chooses another method of payment other than cash or check.
  11. The Budget Plan will give you some protection if the fuel market makes a large increase.
